Which Page to Choose for Promotion
The choice of page affects the result more than the size of the cascade. The same budget on a well-chosen page leads to position growth in weeks, while on a poorly chosen page it yields nothing. Below is how to choose.
Why Positions 4–20 Are the Best Choice
A page ranked 12th has already passed the selection: Google considers it relevant to the query and shows it to users. It lacks the authority to outrank competitors — and that’s exactly what the cascade adds. It’s cheaper and faster to move such a page to the top than a page from the third hundred, where the problem usually lies not in links but in the content itself.
The difference in traffic is enormous: moving from 12th to 7th position can multiply clicks several times, as almost no one opens the second page of results.
How to Find Such Pages in a Minute
This can be done manually through Google Search Console: the report on pages, filter by average position. But it’s easier to open 'SEO-Radar' in the dashboard — it does this automatically.
- Connect Google Search Console in the dashboard — it’s one click and access confirmation.
- Open 'Radar'. It will read your data and show pages at the threshold of the top with an assessment of potential additional clicks.
- Select the suitable ones and add them to the project directly from there — along with the recommended anchor.
If Search Console is not connected, 'Pulse' and 'Radar' will not work: the platform simply won’t have data on your positions. The link part is always calculated, however.
What Not to Promote
| Page | Why | What to Do Instead |
|---|---|---|
| Recently published | Google hasn’t understood what it’s about yet, and positions are unstable | Wait until the page starts appearing in the results |
| From the fourth hundred of results | The problem usually lies in content or structure, not in links | First, improve the content, then promote |
| Service: cart, login, filters | Does not bring traffic and is often closed from indexing | Promote commercial and informational pages |
| Two similar pages for one query | They compete with each other and share impressions | First eliminate cannibalization, then promote one |
Main or Internal Pages?
The main page is usually the strongest page on the site — most natural links lead to it. The increase from the cascade is more noticeable on internal pages: service cards, categories, articles. The exception is young sites where the domain has not yet gained authority: there it makes sense to strengthen the main page as well.
How Many Pages to Take at Once
It’s better to have several cascades on different pages than one huge one on one: the link profile looks more natural, and you’ll understand faster where the return is higher. Start with two or three pages, check the dynamics in 'Pulse' after a month, and scale what is growing.
About Anchors
Anchor is the link text. Specify several options separated by commas: exact match of the query, extended version, and something neutral like the brand name or 'more details'. The system will distribute them among the publications. Uniform commercial anchors on all links are the most noticeable sign of artificial promotion.
